There has been a big trend these days on watching TV on Pc. This is a convergence between computers, internet (broadband) and the television universe.
Most of the people are using PC-TV to watch their favorite: sports, movies and many other programs not always shown on the local TV channels. With the emergence of Broadband, the quality has improved enormously, bringing high-resolution and crystal clear sound.

The more I practice centering, the more I realize that as important as it is to be able to identify and access the centered state, it is equally important to be able to know when I’m NOT centered.
Otherwise, how do I choose?
When I’m centered I’m in control of my behavior. Centered action is on purpose and by choice. Uncentered action is reactive and out of control, and I end up looking back with regret.
I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out my personal symptoms of uncenteredness. Physically, my legs tense and knees lock; my jaw locks, my throat closes, and I stop breathing.
Mental and emotional symptoms vary, but I can become self-righteous, depressed, and very self-critical. Without warning, these reactive responses combine into a mind-body state that is powerful enough to overcome all my good intentions and noble purposes.
When something happens that triggers these physical and emotional states, I increasingly notice them at earlier stages.
I can then ask myself if I want to go where they will carry me. Sometimes it’s a difficult choice. These reactions are “practiced” and seductive.
To choose to be centered means to integrate that energy in some new and more useful way in which I’m not as practiced.
This kind of awareness is learned and developed. And, speaking from experience, it can be done. Here’s my path, and I urge you to add to it:
INTENTION
Have a clear intention to develop control over your reactive state.
DISCOVERY
Begin to notice your symptoms. The next time you start to “lose it,” become active in that process and make a different choice.
JUST DO IT
(Thank you, Nike.) Breathe, relax, or play a mental tape that helps you get centered. Visualize your “happy place,” as one of my clients puts it.
DISCIPLINE
Don’t settle for letting yourself be hijacked by your reactions. When you do “lose it” – use it. Go back in your mind’s eye, and ask how the situation might have played out had you been centered. It’s a great way to reinforce what you want to do next time.
You have more power than you think. Know what you want for your life and go get it.

You can just activate the universal energy, which exists always and will always exist.
This Energy gave you life. It’s always there, at every moment, for everyone.
There is no such thing like people with a lot of energy and other ones without energy.
The difference is that energetic people know how to activate this always available energy.
And the low energy people, they block this energy, which is although always available for them too!
Energy does not decide something like : “Hey I like this one so I will send her energy, and the other one over there I don’t like so he won’t get any of my energy”. This is nonsense!
The same counts for diseases. A disease does not “choose” a body to attack. How would it do it?
Can you imagine a cancer saying : “I don’t like the way he cuts his hair, so I will attack his liver?” or “I can’t stand the way she talks so I will attack her breast?”
There is no such thing. It would be absurd. We have much more to say to our body and our life than we can understand for now or than we will want to admit for ourselves. Because to understand this is to take responsibility.
Once we know that we “ask” for disease – by thinking of it all the time, by running from one doctor to another, by reading all articles about diseases in magazines, by telling our friends and family about all our pains and troubles - than we have to change our behavior and start to behave like a healthy person, who tries to understand why he got ill, and tries to see how he can change his way of thinking and handling to stay healthy.
It’s much the same for energy. Energy is always there. It never goes away, it never slows down, otherwise our whole galaxy would fall apart.
The same energy which holds the stars at place in the sky, which makes grass grow and turn the earth on his own axis, is available for us. Can you imagine? It’s tremendous and there for us!
You can activate this energy for you by thinking the right thoughts, that is thoughts which stimulate you instead of turning you down, thoughts which bring you health instead of disease, thoughts which make you feel loved instead of fearing loneliness, thoughts which bring you wealth instead of poverty.
Is thinking about all this nice stuff enough to bring it into your life?
No! Otherwise it would be so easy just to lean back and think about everything you want and floops….it’s there! We all would be fairies and make the world whatever we want without doing anything.
Luckily it doesn’t work like that! It would be dangerous! We need something else to make our thoughts create what we want : it is action.
The combination of both will give us what we want : dreaming about what we want and putting ourselves into action, that is taking steps in the direction of our thoughts.
At each step we take, the universe also takes a step toward us. By our thoughts and our actions we activate this enormous universal energy to work for us. We make it move in the direction of realizing our dreams.
So the formula is pretty simple : first you dream, than you take action in the direction of your dream.
This will generate energy to help you take the next step. The energy generated by this step will help you take the next step. And so on….
How do you know which action to take? Follow your guts, follow your intuïtion. It’s the best guide you can find!
Stop worrying.
Instead dream, think of what you want and get yourself moving in the direction of your dream. That’s it. Watch what’s happening. Let the mystery unfold itself.

Gazing out to the stars has always been something that humans have wanted to do, for as long as humans have been looking at the world around them.
The invention of the telescope, and of various types of telescopes, such as the astronomical telescope, can allow us to look at places we might not be able to see with our naked eyes, and learn more about the worlds that surround ours.
There are many uses for an astronomical telescope. You can use it anywhere you’d like to use it, and you can develop and hone your telescoping skills from almost any vantage point.
The best thing to do with an astronomical telescope is to go out into the country, away from the city lights. This is because city lights often glare upon the telescope, and you are often unable to see things in the astronomical telescope that you would be able to see if the lights weren’t glaring.
Another reason to head away from the lights is that when you are far away form the lights, they don’t reflect on the sky, and you are actually able to see what is up there, and to study it.
People have used astronomical telescopes for man years, because with them it has become possible to take photographs of things that the naked eye cannot see.
These types of photographs are photographs that will stay with the world, and photographs that we can learn a lot from.
There are many reasons to study the world through the lens of an astronomical telescope, because sometimes in order to understand what is surrounding us, we need to understand what is above us, in the heavens.
Remember that you should find a place where it is quiet and where you can use your telescope safely, for as long as you’d like.
There are several places online and in libraries where you can find many star charts which will show you what you should be looking for, and will help to explain the things that you see.
There are many things to be seen in the night sky, it is just a matter of knowing what to look for, and looking at the right times.
If you can find a set time in which you can witness all kinds of events, such as meteor showers and things like that, you are going to find that you are able to enjoy your astronomical telescope even more.

RESEARCH YOUR AUDIENCE
It amazes me how some speakers will show up for a speaking engagement and really not know anything about the audience they are speaking to.

Many speakers just get lazy and feel that their message is so important that anyone would want to hear it. They couldn’t be more wrong.
Your core message may be about the same for everyone, but knowing your audience will allow you to slant the information so that the audience feels it was prepared just for them.
They will relate much better to the information and think much more highly of you for creating something specifically for them. Of course, in many cases you were only slanting your information, but I won’t tell if you won’t.
PRACTICE
The only way to look polished while speaking is to practice. This is one skill you cannot delegate to anyone else.
It is you that is on stage with the microphone and it is you who will look either great or terrible. You are sadly mistaken and egotistical if you think the PowerPoint slides that either you or someone else created will make you a dynamic speaker.
There are specific techniques used to practice that don’t take much time and make you look extremely polished. One of these techniques is called bits. You practice a short piece of material over and over again.
You don’t practice it word for word, but just talk your way through it. This way you won’t blank out when a distraction happens while you are on stage.
TAKE CARE OF HECKLERS
The following is a famous asterisk technique; I use it to make sure hecklers don’t interrupt my presentation. I get people in the group to identify potential troublemakers BEFORE I get to the event. I phone these people and interview them to give them the attention they are craving.
I then mention their names during the speech. This virtually eliminates the chance they will give me a hard time because I am praising one of their opinions. This works really well but don’t mention their names exclusively or the rest of the audience that knows these people are trouble may think that you are just as bad.
Mention a wide variety of people in the audience. Just make sure the bad ones are included which normally keeps them at bay.
USE EMOTIONAL LANGUAGE
Boring old facts rarely move people to action. Learning to use words that evoke emotions in people will make a much greater impact when you speak. There are many emotions you can trigger in the audience just by your choice of words. Happiness, anger, sadness, nostalgia are just a few.
Knowing your purpose for being in front of the group helps you to pick which emotions you want to tap. When your purpose is known, choosing words to get the desired emotional response is much easier.
For instance, if you wanted to take someone back to a childhood experience you might say, “Do you remember when someone did something bad at school and the teacher smacked the yardstick on her desk?” The word Phrase “smacked the yardstick” would evoke an emotional response that many adults can relate to.
A younger group may not relate to this phrase since corporal punishment has all but disappeared from schools. You must pick the words that would mean something to your audience.
REVEAL YOURSELF
Often people have trouble implementing this idea because they like to remain aloof and private. This will hurt their chances of making a good connection with people in the audience.
You certainly don’t have to reveal your deepest darkest secrets when on stage, but you certainly could tell someone how much you like horses, or how you love to cook . . .anything that will give them a glimpse into the real you will give you a better chance of connecting with them and getting them to listen to you.
USE PROPS
A prop is worth a thousand words. People can really anchor a thought in their minds when it is connected to an object that relates to the point you are trying to make. You could use large, small, funny or serious props.

Always relate the prop to the point you are trying to make and make sure the audience can see it. Sometimes you’ll want to hide the prop so people don’t wonder what it is until you are ready to present it.
USE HUMOR
Even Shakespeare used humor in the middle of the tragedies he wrote. Humor is a powerful and effective tool that gives the audience’s mind a chance to breath in the face of heavy material. It also makes you more likable and fun to listen to.
Humor is also much more likely to make your information more memorable. You don’t have to be a stand up comedian to use humor in speeches and presentations, and you don’t have to tell jokes either.
There are many ways to add humor that don’t require any skill at all. You can show funny visuals, tell stories, or read from books or periodicals. Just like with props, make sue your humor relates to the point you are trying to make and you will be much more successful.
MOVE ‘EM TO ACTION
If you are going to bother taking up people’s time to speak to them, don’t you think it would be a good idea to get them to do something positive because of your presentation?
Even if they do something negative, it’s still better than doing nothing because they will at least get a chance to learn something from their mistake. Regardless of the size of your ego, the reality is that you are there for them, not the other way around.
I’m all for you building up your reputation, but if you go into your speech thinking it’s all for you, it will show and you probably won’t do as well as you would have had you concentrated on the needs of the audience more.
BRING SOLUTIONS
One of the best ways to make sure the audience loves you is to bring solutions to their problems. If you have done a thorough job of researching your audience, you already know what their problems are. It’s your job to bring ideas for them to try.
In modern day thinking this is what motivational speaking is all about. No longer is it good enough to get people all fired up where they are bouncing off the walls without a clue as to what they will do with this new found excitement and motivation. Modern professional motivational speakers bring solutions and a plan of action to achieve them. Now those are motivating.
PAY ATTENTION TO LOGISTICS
The best preparation, practice, and audience research could be ruined if you forget to pay attention to all the details surrounding a presentation. You want to know what is happening before you speak, and what is happening after you speak: How are the people seated?
Are they at round tables where half of them are facing away from you, or are there no tables at all? What kind of microphone is appropriate? How big is the screen in the room? Will the people be drinking alcohol? What is the lighting like?
All these items and many more affect the overall effectiveness of a presentation. The same exact words delivered with significantly different logistics could be received in entirely different ways.
You could even go from a fantastic evaluation to a bomb just because of the way people are seated. It’s up to you to know the differences and how they affect a presentation.
